Scone Palace & Grounds – The crowning place of Scottish kings.  Scone was once the home of the Stone of Scone also known as the “Stone of Destiny” on the famous Moot Hill (now at the new Perth Museum).  It was here that kings including Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were crowned.  Explore the palace, explore the gardens and get lost in the maze.

Forteviot Village – A Listed Model Village.  Forteviot is known to have been inhabited in the 9th century.  The village was rebuilt in the 1920s following severe flooding of the river May which destroyed the original village.  It was designed by the architect James Miller under the instruction of John Dewar, 1st Baron Forteviot.  Of more significance is that Forteviot is one of the most famous early medieval sites in Scotland.  It records the death of Kenneth MacAlpin, a 9th century King of Scotland making it the earliest identified royal centre in Scotland.

The Dupplin Cross - Standing in the heart of the attractive Perthshire village of Dunning is St Serf's Church. Partly dating back to about 1200, St Serfs is open to the public for six months each year. Well worth visiting in its own right, St Serf's is also home to the beautiful Dupplin Cross, carved in about 800 and dedicated to one of the last Kings of Pictland. It was originally located in a field a few hundred meters to your right as you drive up to the estate office.  It was relocated in the late 1990s in an effort to conserve it.
